FARC Guerrilla Peace Accords 2000
Founded in 1966 from peasant self-defense groups that emerged during Colombia’s “Violencia” era in 1948, FARC–EP was a Marxist–Leninist guerrilla organization that played a central role in the Colombian conflict from 1964 until the peace accord in 2016. Committed to agrarian reform and anti-imperialism, FARC–EP significantly influenced Colombia’s political and social landscape.
